Military Medal Pin Pattern

This is the pattern I use for the beaded part of my military medal pins ([link]). I think these are a lot of fun to make, and I figured I'd share it with you so you can design your own! A few rules first though:

Notes on this pattern:
The pattern is oriented so that you're looking at what would be the inside when you stitch the two points together, with the back of the pin on bottom and the front on top. In other words, fold the top of the pattern down over the bottom and you'll see it as it would look finished.
Those holes are for adding a bar pinback. Slip the spring end through the large hole and the closure through the small hole to install.
I usually stitch the sides closed around the pinback. The arrows represent the two lowest beads that would be stitched together. When the points have been stitched together, find the two indicated beads and stitch them and all pairs above together. Repeat on the other side.
You'll have to take it from here! Find a pendant you like that's a decent size and design a color scheme around it. Have fun!
